How We Use AI
AI speeds up parts of our research. It does not replace the analysis or the writing.
What We Use It For
Section titled “What We Use It For”- Preliminary background on a topic, market, or role.
- Planning an analysis and documenting the approach.
- Collecting data from our own systems, Sensor Tower, and public sources, often by writing a script rather than reading the data directly.
- Cleaning data, bucketing it, and writing spreadsheet formulas.
- Spotting trends in a dataset and drafting first takeaways.
- Structuring a report, finding gaps in coverage, and reordering a draft.
- Proofreading and checking for logical inconsistencies.
What We Do Not Use It For
Section titled “What We Do Not Use It For”- Writing the final text of anything we send you. Every piece of writing that reaches you is written and edited by a person.
- Any work where a contract restricts AI use. We check that at the start of an engagement.
How We Check It
Section titled “How We Check It”We document the source and method for anything collected with AI, and check samples against the primary source. Any figure that looks inconsistent gets investigated before it reaches you. Responsibility for accuracy sits with the person who sourced the data and with the project lead.
We use business accounts with Claude and ChatGPT, so our inputs are not used to train models.
Your Own AI Assistant
Section titled “Your Own AI Assistant”You can connect Claude or ChatGPT to your own Market Pulse account and search the research your subscription covers. See Connect Claude or ChatGPT.
